Complex regional pain syndrome: Literature review as a guide for the practicing clinician

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a chronic complex disorder that significantly affects the quality of life people suffering from it. This extremities after trauma or nerve injury. Hyperalgesia and allodynia often accompany this condition. Diagnosing treating disease very complex. The Budapest criteria are currently most widely accepted diagnostic criteria. Early diagnosis treatment essential for favorable outcome in CRPS. Therapeutic modalities available CRPS include physical therapy, pharmacotherapy, interventional techniques. Additional high-quality studies needed to determine best therapeutic option.
